Proposed Substantial Amendment To the Wayne County 2008 Annual Action Plan For the Community Development Block Grant – Recovery Act Program (CDBG-R) The federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) was signed into law on February 17, 2009. As part of the Recovery Act, funds are available under the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG-R), administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Wayne County is eligible to apply for $1,508,234 in CDBG-R funds. These funds may be used to for critical employment and economic development needs, and to help cover grant administrative costs. The CDBG-R application requires a substantial amendment to the 2008 Wayne County Annual Action Plan (2008 Action Plan). This proposed substantial amendment indicates how the County plans to distribute and administer the funds and provides a preliminary estimated budget summary.
Public Review and Comment
Citizens are encouraged to review and comment on this proposed substantial amendment. The amendment is available for review and comment from April 12th, 2010 through April 19th, 2010. During the comment period, copies may be obtained from the contact person listed below and written comments may be submitted to the same person no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 19th, 2010.
