Wayne County's Health and Human Services Department offers the County's 2.2 million residents a wide range of services.

Consider this. Through this one department, citizens can receive a book on tape for the blind, home-delivered meals for an elderly neighbor, information on health care for a small business, even training on how to grow a better garden.

Continued good health and assistance to those in need remain the primary goals of the department's 11 divisions.

The Health and Human Services department - the largest in Wayne County government - employs 1,000 people.
