Two events highlight a busy day for Wayne County seniors
Dearborn - Wayne County seniors, family and friends celebrated two events today, one the opening of Dearborn's long-standing Homecoming at Ford Field, the second an awards ceremony ending the Downriver Senior Olympics for 2007. Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano hosted a packed "Breakfast With Bob" at the Homecoming, and later congratulated more than 500 senior athletes receiving awards at a luncheon in Southgate. Wayne County will also co-sponsor the Western Wayne County Senior Olympics, scheduled to begin in Canton on Aug. 20. The photo gallery is a sampling from both of today's events.
