Located
in the northeast part of Wayne County between Detroit and the Grosse
Pointes, Harper Woods is the location of the Eastland Shopping
Center which provides Woods residents as well as neighboring communities
with easy access to dozens of retail shops and stores.
Other than this regional shopping center, and some
adjacent strip commercial development, the community is a quiet
residential suburb, perfect in which to raise a family with modest,
yet beautiful high quality homes.
The Interstate 94 Freeway traverses the city north
to south providing access to the region.
Eight Mile Road [M-102] forms its northern border
with Macomb County. It has no industries or rail access.
