Plymouth
Township is located in the northwest corner of Wayne County, in what
has become known as the "Golden Corridor."
The corridor, consisting of upscale single-family and condominium
structures, high-tech uses and signature buildings surrounded by
open spaces of trees and shrubs extends westerly in the Township
along M-14 and the CSX Railroad.
M-14 along the northern portion of the Township and I-275 on its
eastern border provide a circulation network which links the community
directly to Metro Airport, the University of Michigan and other facilities
offering educational, business and cultural opportunities.
Numerous recreational opportunities exist within or near the Township,
such as the community owned Hilltop Golf Course and Edward Hines
Drive, a county owned recreation system, which traverses the Township
for a distance of about 3-1/2 miles.
