The
City of Trenton is located on the Detroit River across from Grosse
Ile Township. The City maintains a pleasant balance between industry
and residential development.
Wide, shaded streets and fine homes dominate the older parts of
the city while new, well-designed residences are found in the outlying
sections.
Among the leading industries located here is the Chrysler Corporation.
Most of the industrial development is along the river or Jefferson
Avenue. There is also a certified industrial park, Trenton Commerce
Park, located off of Fort Street.
The city's central business district is along Jefferson Avenue in
the vicinity of West Road. Fort Road [M-85] is paralleled by trackage
of Conrail and GTW Railroads.
Interstate 75 Freeway is less than 1-1/2 miles west of the city.
A beautiful county-owned park, Elizabeth Park, is located toward
the southern end of the community.
