Located in southern Wayne
County, the City of Woodhaven is one of its newest communities.
The stimulus for the City's incorporation and growth are a direct
result of the location of the Interstate 75 Freeway which passes
through the community. The Ford Motor Company's stamping plant is
located about one mile east of I- 75, marks the eastern boundary
of this industrial corridor.
West Road, which is an important east-west route, accesses the I-75
and Telegraph Road [US-24], and is the location of the City's limited,
but important commercial activities.
The industrial and commercial development provide an excellent tax
base for the residential areas which are located on the eastern and
western sides of the industrial corridor.
