Forestry Section

Responsible for the care of the State and County Road right-of-ways not used by vehicular traffic. Responsibilities include:

• Maintenance of grass areas
   
• Tree trimming and removal
   
• Planting of trees, shrubs and flowers
   
• Inspection of trees for disease and insects
   
• Issuance of permits for tree planting, removal, and trimming
   
• Coordination of litter pick-up with the Alternate Work Force Program
   
• Janitorial and grounds maintenance of two [2] State rest areas
