On March 19, 2016 at approximately 6:10 p.m., two women were walking west-bound on Fenkell Avenue. It is alleged that Shamicah Burton, 20 (DOB: 11/28/1995), of Detroit, pulled out of a driveway driving her vehicle and began driving in their direction. It is further alleged that Burton approached the victims, got out of the vehicle armed with a handgun, threatened them and robbed them of their purses and other items. The defendant then fled the area in the vehicle.

Prosecutor Kym Worthy said, "The evidence shows that this defendant has been very busy preying on our citizens. We will be very diligent in our quest to make sure justice is done in these cases."

Burton has been charged two counts of Armed Robbery, Carrying a Concealed, Felony Firearm. She was arraigned today in 36th District Court. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for April 5, 2016 @ 8:30 a.m. before Judge Langston in 36th District Court. The defendant received a $100,000 cash/surety bond.
