Statement Regarding New Information in the Terrance Kellom Case

"The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing new information in the Terrance Kellom Case to determine if it would in any way affect our previous review and decision regarding the circumstances of Mr. Kellom's death," said Assistant Prosecutor Maria Miller.

Defendant Mark Lin Bessner - Former MSP Trooper charged in connection with the death of 15-year-old Damon Grimes. Opening statements in the case will begin tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Van Houten.

Wagner and Mosley Updated Information - Pittsburgh Controller and her husband charged in connection with the March 6, 2019 altercation with Detroit police officers at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit. Ms. Wagner's Preliminary Examination was held today and she was bound over for trial on one count of Resisting and Obstructing the Police and Disorderly Conduct. She was not bound over on a second count of Resisting and Obstructing the Police. The Arraignment on the Information in Wayne County Circuit Court is scheduled for April 25, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. in the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice.

Mr. Mosley will have a Final Pre-Trial Conference on April 25, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Kenneth King in 36th District Court.

Livonia Man Charged in Murder-For-Hire


Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Scott Fraser Porter, 48 (DOB: 03/02/1971), of Livonia, in connection with solicitation to murder.

On April 2, 2019, it is alleged that Defendant Scott Fraser Porter, solicited a male acquaintance to kill a female friend's husband. Investigation by the Plymouth Township Police Department led to the arrest of Porter on April 3, 2019.

Porter has been charged with of Solicitation of Murder (with a penalty of Life or any term of years) and two counts of Computers - Using to Commit a Crime (with a maximum penalty of Imprisonment of 20 years or more.)*

He was arraigned on April 5, 2019 before Judge Michael Gerou in 35th District Court in Plymouth, MI. The Probable Cause Conference was held this morning, April 12, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. The Preliminary Examination that was scheduled for April 22, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge James Plakas has been cancelled. The defendant has been referred for a competency evaluation with a tentative next court date of June 12, 2019. The defendant received a $500,000 cash/surety bond, with a GPS tether.

*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
