Myron Williams - Defendant charged in connection with the May 15, 2013 homicide of Sebrina Gianino on Wayburn Street in Grosse Pointe Park. Today Williams was found guilty of First Degree Felony Murder and Unarmed Robbery after a jury trial before Judge Ulysses Boykin. The sentence hearing is scheduled for April 8, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.

Robert Sturgis - Defendant charged in the fatal beating death of a man at the Happy Party Store located on 8 Mile Road. At the request of the newly retained defense counsel, the preliminary examination was adjourned today until April 4, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.

Dearborn Assistant Principal Arraigned on Two Home Invasion Cases

Fady Anis Soueidan, 42 of Dearborn has been charged in two separate Home Invasion cases that occurred in the City of Westland and in the City of Dearborn. As a result of the pending charges Soueidan has been suspended from his job as an assistant principal at McCollough-Unis School in Dearborn.

Westland Home Invasion - March 14, 2014 

On March 14, 2014 at 8:15 p.m., Soueidan went to the apartment of a woman he was acquainted with that is located in the 36000 block of McKinley in Westland. While there, it is alleged that he kicked in the front door and stole the woman's cell phone. The Westland Police were called and the defendant was arrested at the scene.

On March 17, 2014, Soueidan was charged with Home invasion First Degree (20 Years) and Interfering with a Crime Report (one year misdemeanor). He was arraigned on March 17, 2014, and received a $10,000/10% bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim; Soueidan posted the bond and was released from custody. On March 27, 2014, a preliminary hearing was held and a date for preliminary examination was scheduled before Judge Sandra Cicirelli on April 10, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in 18th District Court.

Dearborn Home Invasion - March 22, 2014

On March 18, 2014, Soueidan's wife obtained a Personal Protection Order (PPO) that prohibited him from coming to his marital home located on Hampshire Court in Dearborn. As a result of the PPO, he was also ordered not to threaten, stalk or attack his wife. On March 22, 2014 at approximately 11:00 p.m., the police responded to a report of family trouble at the home on Hampshire Court. It is alleged that Soueidan violated the PPO by coming to the home, physically assaulting his wife and stealing her cell phone. He was arrested at the scene by the responding officers.

On March 24, 2014, the defendant was charged with Home Invasion First Degree (20 years), Larceny in a Building (four years), Aggravated Stalking (five years) and Domestic Violence Assault and Battery (93 day misdemeanor). He was arraigned on March 25, 2014 and he received a $100,000 cash/surety bond, with the order that he have no contact with his wife and family, turn in his work keys to the Dearborn Public School District, and if released, the defendant must wear a GPS tether. He currently remains in jail. His preliminary examination is scheduled for on April 4, 2014 in 19th District Court before Judge Sam A. Salemey.

Ramiro Avalos Sanchez - Defendant charged with the sexual assault of a teenage girl in Southwest Detroit. Today Sanchez was sentenced on to 6 to 15 years on one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct - Third Degree before Judge Craig Strong.
