Three Charged in Greektown Casino Hotel Homicide

Rodney R. Pritchett, 29 (DOB:09/21/1989), of Detroit Shawn Wilson, 30 (DOB:04/02/1987), of Farmington Hills and Carlile Jackson, 30 ( DOB:12/11/1986) of Detroit, have been charged by Prosecutor Kym Worthy in connection with the homicide of Shunsaiah Glaze in an elevator of the Greektown Casino Hotel. On December 2, 2017 at approximately 4:06 a.m. it is alleged that Pritchett. Wilson and Jackson engaged in a physical fight Glaze in a hotel room. Glaze left the room and got on an elevator and Pritchett, Jackson and Wilson followed him. While inside the elevator Pritchett fired a handgun striking Glaze in the torso. After the shooting it is alleged that Wilson and Jackson tampered with evidence left in the elevator. The victim was privately transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigation by the Detroit Police led to the identification and apprehension of the defendants.

Rodney R. Pritchett Charges*

First Degree Premeditated Murder and Felony Firearm. Pritchett was arraigned and remanded to jail on December 4, 2017. His probable cause conference is on December 14, 2017 at 8:30 and his preliminary examination is on December 21, 2017, both before Judge Lydia Nance Adams.

Shawn Wilson Charges*

Second Degree Murder, Tampering with Evidence and Felony Firearm. Wilson was arraigned and remanded to jail on December 6, 2017. His probable cause conference is on December 14, 2017at 8:30 and his preliminary examination is on December 21, 2017, both before Judge Lydia Nance Adams.

Carlile Jackson Charges*

Second Degree Murder, Tampering with Evidence. Jackson was arraigned and remanded to jail on December 7, 2017. His probable cause conference is on December 14, 2017 at 8:30 and his preliminary examination is on December 21, 2017 both before Judge Lydia Nance Adams.

Calvin Stephens - Adult Designated Juvenile charged in Noel Night Shootings - Stephens had his pre-hearing on Saturday, December 9, 2017 and was remanded to the custody of the Juvenile Detention Facility. The preliminary examination is scheduled for January 9, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. before Judge Virgil Smith in the Lincoln Hall of Justice.

Demetrius Lorenzo Peals and Kinesha Comeal Boyd - Defendants charged in the December 6, 2017 fatal shooting of a three-year-old child:

Demetrius Lorenzo Peals was arraigned on December 9, 2017 before Magistrate Allen Hindman. The probable cause conference is scheduled for December 19, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for December 26, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Deborah Lewis Langston in 36^th District Court. Peals received a $50,000/10% bond.

Kinesha Comeal Boyd was arraigned in 36^th District Court at 10:30 this morning before Magistrate Bari Blake Wood. The probable cause conference is scheduled for December 27, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.; the preliminary examination is scheduled for January 3, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Both hearings are before Judge Deborah Lewis Langston in 36^th District Court. Boyd received a $25,000 personal bond.
