Detroit Man Charged in Homicide of his Estranged Wife
On October 5, 2018 Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Gregory McQueen, 30 (DOB: 09/19/1989), in connection with the death of Alisha McQueen, 28, both of Detroit. In March 2018, Ms. McQueen was reported missing by a relative. The victim and the defendant were living separately at the time. On August 25, 2018 at 6:16 p.m., an evidence technician was dispatched to a location in the 100 block of Mill Street in Ecorse where a citizen had discovered what appeared to be human bones. From August 28, 2018 until September 6, 2018, investigation by the Ecorse police led to the discovery of more bones, which were collected as evidence. Clothing was also discovered and collected as evidence at the Mill Street location. On September 7, 2018, large pieces of cement with embedded human remains were also collected as evidence by the police. On September 21, 2018, the investigation revealed that the remains belonged to victim Alisha McQueen. It is alleged that Gregory McQueen murdered his wife.
"October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. In 2017, this office reviewed almost 9000 warrants containing allegations of domestic violence throughout Wayne County. We have been in DV epidemic for years," said Prosecutor Worthy.
Defendant McQueen is charged with Open Murder.* He was arraigned yesterday at the 25th District Court. He was remanded. His Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 16, 2018 and his Preliminary Examination is scheduled for October 23, 2018.

South Lyon Man Charged Northville Township Home Invasion
On October 5, 2018, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Erik Daniel Brumley, 46 (DOB: 06/08/1972), of South Lyon, MI, in connection with the home invasion and an assault on a resident in Northville Township.
On October 3, 2018 at approximately 5:54 a.m., Northville Township police responded to 911 calls and a house alarm at a residence located in the 16600 block of Winchester Drive. Upon arrival, the officers interviewed the residents of the home who indicated that an unknown male gained entry to the home. It is alleged that, when confronted by the homeowner, the defendant brandished a weapon and assaulted him. It is further alleged that a struggle occurred and the weapon was dropped. The defendant left the scene. Investigation by the Northville Township police led to Brumley's arrest.
Brumley has been charged with Home Invasion - First Degree, three counts of Attempted Unlawful Imprisonment and three counts of Attempted Kidnapping.*
He was arraigned on October 6, 2018 in 34th District Court by Judge Elizabeth DiSanto in Romulus. Erik Brumley was given a $1,000,000.00 cash bond with the conditions of no contact with the victims, not to be at the residence in the 16600 block Winchester Drive. The defendant is on house arrest with GPS tether, if he is released on bond. Brumley has a Probable Cause Conference on October 19, 2018 at 08:30 a.m. His Preliminary Examination is scheduled for October 26, 2018 at 8:30 p.m. Both hearings will be at the 35th District Court in Plymouth.

Brad Fields - Defendant charged along with Candice Diaz in connection with the January 1, 2018 homicide of Diaz's four-year-old daughter Gabrielle Barrett in Sumpter Township. On September 20, 2018 a jury found Fields guilty as charged. He was sentenced today before Judge Vonda Evans on the following charges: Count 1 - Felony Murder - Life Without Parole; Count 2 - Second Degree - 30 to 60 Years (vacated); Count 3 - Child Abuse - 30 to 60 Years; Count 4 - Torture - 30 to 60 years; Count 5 - Conspiracy to Commit Child Abuse First Degree, 2 to 10 years; Count 6 - Conspiracy to Commit Child Abuse Second Degree - two to 10 years, all to be served in the Michigan Department of Corrections.
Co-Defendant Candice Diaz is scheduled to have a Final Conference on October 30, 2018, and a Jury Trial on March 4, 2019 both before Judge Evans at 9:00 a.m.
Detroit Man Charged in Fatal Car Crash
Darick Anthony Brown, 42(DOB:01/11/1976), of Detroit has been charged in connection with the fatal car crash that killed Kaneesha Griffin 26, of Detroit. On October 7, 2018 at 2:40 a.m. it is alleged that the defendant was driving in his car while intoxicated and waiving a handgun. Ms. Griffin was riding in the front passenger seat of Brown's car. A Detroit police officer performed a traffic stop at a location in the 17600 block of East Warren. The officer approached the car and gave commands which Brown ignored. It is alleged that Brown drove away at a high rate of speed and fled multiple police cars. Brown drove north on University Place for approximately one mile when he lost control and crashed into a garage in the 17700 block of Chester Road. Brown and Griffin were not in the car when police arrived at the crash scene. A handgun was confiscated near Brown's car and placed on evidence by the police.. Griffin was discovered in the alley behind the garage. She was taken to a local hospital where she succumbed to injuries sustained in the car crash. Brown was found in the rear of a location in the 8660 block of Farmbrook and arrested by the police.
Brown is charged with one count each of: Murder - Second Degree, Operating While Intoxicated Causing Death; Fleeing and Eluding First Degree; Carrying a Concealed Weapon; and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He is also charged with five counts of Felony Firearm.* He is expected to be arraigned this afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in 36th District Court.

Dearborn Heights Man Charged in Ethnic Intimidation Incident
Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Jason Glenn Sherman, 35 (DOB: 11/25/1982) of Dearborn Heights, in connection with the ethnic intimidation of his neighbors.
On September 16, 2018, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Dearborn Heights police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 5600 block of Hubbell Street in Dearborn Heights, in response to neighbor trouble complaints. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the victim and the defendant and reviewed camera footage provided by the victim. It is alleged that the defendant yelled racial comments, made sexual gestures, urinated on the victims' house and destroyed landscaping.
Sherman has been charged with Ethnic Intimidation and Malicious Destruction of Property - Shrubs.* He was arraigned today 20th District Court in Dearborn Heights and received a $50,000 cash/surety or 10% bond with the condition that he have no contact the victims and not go to the street where they reside. His Probable Cause Hearing is on October 17, 2018 and his Preliminary Examination is on October 24, 2018, both at 9:00 a.m.
Prosecutor Worthy said, "Wayne County is one of the most diverse counties in the United States and we should have zero tolerance for the actions of those who trample on the rights of its citizens. The alleged actions of this defendant were vulgar and repulsive. We certainly will not and should not accept this type of behavior that emanates from hate."

Harrison Township Man Charged in Detroit Homicide
On Tuesday, October 9, 2018 Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged David Erwin Unger, 55 (DOB: 06/05/1963), of Harrison Township in connection with the homicide of Mark Siecinski, 56, of Clarkston, and the non-fatal shooting of a 63-year-old man, of Farmington. On September 29, 2918 at 6:20 p.m. the two male victims went to Mr. Unger's business in the 11800 block of Freud in Detroit to appraise and secure the property since Unger's property was under the control of the courts for debts that were owed. It is alleged that Unger armed with a hand gun saw the men and fatally shot Mr. Siecinski multiple times and the 63-year-old man was shot and survived.
Unger has been charged with First Degree Murder, Assault with Intent to Murder, and two counts of Felony Firearm.* He was arraigned and remanded to jail this morning in 36th District Court. His Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for October 24, 2018 and the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for October 31, 2018.

Mark Bessner - New Information - Final Conference to be held at 1:30 today. - Former MSP trooper charged in connection with the death of 15-year-old Damon Grimes. Defense Counsel Richard Convertino will send a representative to stand in for him at the Final Conference Hearing today before Judge Margaret Van Houten.
Timothy Leach and Frederick Person - Defendants charged in connection with the assault on Michael Karpovich at Ottava Via restaurant . The Arraignment on the Information for defendants Tim Leach and Fred Person was held before Judge Gregory Bill this morning. Both defendants will now go to the docket of Judge Timothy Kenny. There is a calendar conference on October 16, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
Jason Malinas, 38 and Jessica St. Clair, 41 - Defendants charged in connection with throwing an 88-year-old victim to the ground to steal her purse at a Walmart in Livonia. Today they had their Arraignment on the Information and Calendar Conference in Circuit Court before Judge Lawrence Talon. The Final Conference is scheduled for November 30, 2018, at 9:00 a.m., and the Jury Trial is scheduled for January 30, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.
Mark Bessner - Former MSP trooper charged in connection with the death of 15-year-old Damon Grimes. Judge Van Houten will hold a hearing on October 16, 2018 with Bessner's union representative.

Detroit Man Charged in Non-Fatal Shooting on Evergreen Road
Eric M. Coleman, 27 (DOB:02/15/1991),of Detroit, has been charged in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a 22-year-old who was his ex-girlfriend. On October 10, 2018 at 9:20 p.m. the police were dispatched for a burglary of an occupied residence in the 7420 block of Evergreen Road. When they arrived they were met by Coleman. The police officers found no evidence of forced entry but observed blood on the front porch and near a vehicle. A handgun found in the home was confiscated by the police. During the time they were investigating the home they received information from police dispatch that the 22-year-old ex-girlfriend of Coleman was in a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the left thigh. It is alleged that Coleman shot the victim during an argument while she was picking up her dog and leaving the location. Coleman was placed under arrest by the police.
Coleman has been charged with Discharge of Firearm in a Building Causing Injury, Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm, Felonious Assault, False Report of a Felony and three counts of Felony Firearm.* He is expected to be arraigned in 36th District court after 10:30 a.m.

Detroit Man Charged In Domestic Violence Assault on Rohns Street
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Isaac "Ikey" Alexander, 45 (DOB:07/29/1973), of Detroit. On October 10, 2018 at 7:12 p.m. in the 5740 block of Rohns it is alleged that Alexander had a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation with his 34-year-old girlfriend.
An off-duty police officer observed the defendant choke and slam the woman into the ground and place a handgun to her head. The officer identified himself, displayed his badge, and he instructed Alexander to put the weapon down. It is alleged that Alexander failed to drop the weapon and fearing for the safety of the woman and himself the officer fired his weapon and struck Alexander. Alexander left the location in a car driven by his girlfriend that was subsequently involved in a car accident. When police were dispatched to the car accident on Mack near Alter Road Alexander was recognized, arrested, and taken to the hospital for treatment for his wound.
Alexander has been charged with: Felonious Assault, Resisting and Obstructing the Police, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Domestic Violence and four counts of Felony Firearm.* He is expected to be arraigned on Saturday, October 13, 2018 after 11:00 a.m. in 34th District Court in Romulus.

Detroit Man Charged in White Castle Triple Fatal Shooting
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged William Wilbourn-Little, 29 (DOB:03/12/1989), of Detroit in connection with the fatal shootings of Deshawn Gadson,(DOB: 12/09/1997), Rashwan Harrington, (DOB:08/06/1993 and Trevaughn Anthony (DOB:08/15/1994).
On September 9, 2018, the three victims were inside a White Castle located in the 6300 block of West Warren in Detroit when they were fatally shot. It is alleged that Wilbourn-Little fatally shot the victims. All of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene from multiple bullet wounds. More complete facts will be presented in court at the Preliminary Examination.
Wilbourn-Little has been charged with three counts of First Degree Murder, one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and four counts of Felony Firearm.* He is expected to be arraigned on Saturday, October 13, 2018 after 11:00 a.m. in 34th District Court in Romulus.
