Two Men Charged In Huron Township Attempted Home Invasion and Assault

Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged David Wade Janowski, 27, (DOB: 03/08/1991), of Romeo, and Michael Stephen Levelle, 28, (DOB: 07/28/1990), of Chesterfield, in connection with an attempted home invasion and assault. On August 19, 2018 at 4:53 a.m., it is alleged that Janowski and Levelle went to a home located into the 23500 block of Manor in Huron Township. While at the home, it is alleged that Janowski attempted to enter the home armed with a weapon and accompanied by Levelle, who was unarmed. It is further alleged that the two defendants assaulted two male occupants living at the location. After the assault, the two men drove away in a car. Investigation by the Huron Township Police led to the arrest of the defendants.

Janowski has been charged with Attempted Home Invasion, two counts of Felonious Assault, and three counts of Felony Firearm.* Defendant Levelle has been charged with Attempted Home Invasion, and two counts of Felonious Assault.*

Janowski and Levelle were arraigned at 9:00 a.m. this morning before Judge Brian Oakley in 34th District Court. The Probable Cause Conferences are scheduled for August 29, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. before 34th District Court Judge Lisa Martin. The Preliminary Examinations are scheduled for September 5, 2018 at 9:05 a.m. before Judge David Parrott in 34th District Court. Both defendants received a $50,000 cash/surety bond.

*The charges are allegations and defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
