Detroit businessman pays taxes for woman about to lose home to foreclosure (WXYZ 7 Detroit)

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Detroit businessman Michael Evans was in line to pay taxes on his property Friday when he noticed a woman crying in the Wayne County Treasurer's Office.

The woman was about to lose her home and Evans overheard the teller inform the woman, who was in a wheelchair, that her house had been foreclosed on, according to a report from WWJ.

The woman's taxes totaled $5,000.Evans told WWJ that "something just told me we couldn't let that happen, so I just had to do it."
