Overview
The Wayne County Purchasing site represents one aspect of the County's E-Government
initiative. The purchasing site was developed to assist the County and its
Suppliers in facilitating and expediting commodity posting and bid processing.
This site allows Suppliers to receive notice of bid opportunities, view bid
opportunities and derive information as to how to do business with Wayne County.
The site is designed to assist Suppliers with the registration and County certification processes. Once registered, the system provides Suppliers the wherewithal to maintain their registration information and to receive business communications from the County.
Upon entering the web site, Suppliers may proceed directly to the area of interest by clicking one of the left-side panel buttons.
Supplier
Registration
Registration is important if you wish to receive e-mail notification of bid
and/or other business opportunities. The registration process allows Suppliers
to profile their areas of interest so that they only receive bid notifications
for those areas. You may access this area by clicking the Step 1, Registration
button.
Since the information derived during registration is confidential, please note that the Supplier's Tax Id (or social security number) must be used as the Supplier's Login Id when viewing or maintaining Supplier profile information. Changes made to profile information are effective immediately.
Wayne
County Certifications
There are a number of certifications for which Suppliers may qualify. You may
access this area by clicking the Step 2, Certification Forms button. This area
lists the certifications for which you can apply and allows you to view and/or
download the forms associated with each certificate. For your convenience, the
forms are in Adobe PDF format.
The County certification process is managed by the Wayne County Human Relations Department, and should be contacted if you have any questions. Contact information is as follows:
Telephone:
(313) 224-5021
Facsimile: (313) 224-6932
Address: Wayne County Human Relations, 600 Randolph, 5th Floor, Detroit, MI 48226-1518
Bid
Opportunities
You may access this area by clicking the Step 3, Bid Opportunities button. Displayed
will be a main panel that lists all bid opportunities, and a left-side panel
that provides a list of commodity categories from which you may refine your
search.
The main panel listing works like a spreadsheet. By clicking the Request Number in the first column, you may view request details for that line item. Clicking File, in the same column, allows you to see additional information, if any, related to the request. If you click a buyer's name, displayed in the fourth column, the panel will then display all of the bids being managed by that Buyer.
If you determine that you are interested in viewing bid opportunities outside of Wayne County, press the yellow EPAC logo at the top of the main panel to access that system.
Vendor
Profile
The Vendor Profile area allows Suppliers the wherewithal to view and/or edit
profile information, including commodity preferences. Enter this area by clicking
the Vendor Profile button on the left-side panel. You must have your login Id
and password to use this area.

The Documents area contains various Wayne County business documents that may
be of interest to you and is designed for you to either view them on-line or
download them for later use. You can see the available documents by clicking
the Documents button on the left-side panel.
