The Michigan Homeowner Assistance Nonprofit Housing Corporation (MHA) acting through Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) has received federal funds from the U.S. Department of Treasury to help Michigan take a step forward through a comprehensive, statewide strategy that is aimed to help homeowners who are at high risk of default or foreclosure. Financial Transparency – Wayne County Citizens’ Guide and Dashboard
The Financial Transparency – Wayne County Citizens’ Guide and Dashboard provides a snap shot of key performance indicators for Wayne County government. Budget, economic development and quality of life among other measures are included in the dashboard and are updated as new data becomes available.
Autism Roadmap
Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in America, stealing more youngsters each year than diabetes, cancer and AIDS combined. Wayne County has created a roadmap for parents and children to get the help they need to address Autism.
Transparency in Government
The "Transparency in Government" feature is designed to provide taxpayers with greater insight into the financial condition and operations of Wayne County government .
Detroit Region Aerotropolis
Through a partnership between Wayne and Washtenaw counties, local governments, and the private sector, the Aerotropolis will create thousands of jobs and transform the region around Detroit Metro and Willow Run airports into a global hub of air commerce.
Cobo Center
Home to the annual North American International Auto Show, Cobo Center is the region’s premier convention facility. Executive Robert Ficano has been the region’s leading advocate for the renovation and expansion of Cobo Center.
Land Bank / TURBO Program
The Wayne County Land Bank is an authority charged with transforming abandoned, underutilized, or blighted property into productive use. Our TURBO program can help relieve the tax burden of businesses and developers that develop on Land Bank property.
Development Ready Communities
Led by Wayne County’s Economic Development Growth Engine (EDGE), Development Ready Communities is an effort to work with local governments to enhance the environment for business investment throughout Wayne County.
China Program
China is growing as a major trade partner of the United States. Building off our automotive heritage and our region’s growing trade China, our China Program aims to attract Chinese investment to the region and create jobs for our citizens.
ReelWC
The Wayne County Film Office (ReelWC.com) is designed to advance the film and video game industry in Wayne County. Our county has attracted several films over the past few years and helped to grow the county’s film production capacity.
The Guardian Building
In late 2009, Wayne County moved its central offices into the historic Guardian Building in downtown Detroit. The move generated financial efficiencies for the County, and made the Guardian the highest occupied multi-tenant building in downtown Detroit.
