KidSpace,
Inc. is a not-for-profit Michigan Corporation originally
developed by The Merill-Palmer Institute of Wayne State
University. Founded in 1989 by Wayne County employees,
KidSpace is staffed by professional child care providers
working under the direction of a Board of Directors comprised
primarily of KidSpace parents.
KidSpace
adheres to the guidelines set forth by the National Association
for the Education of Young Children [NAEYC] and is seeking
accreditation by the organization. Monthly staff and bi-monthly
team meetings assure that quality care is consistently
provided.
An affordable
year-round program for infants through pre-kindergarten
age children, KidSpace provides services from 7 a.m. to
6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Enrollment is open to the
public.
Located
in the historic Wayne County Building at 600 Randolph,
KidSpace provides a convenient drop-off and pick-up area
for program participants.
