Emergency Preparedness

The Emergency Preparedness program develops protocols, policies, and plans related to public health outbreaks and acts of bioterrorism.

This program provides: information on bioterrorism agents; surveillance of communicable and unusual disease outbreaks; communicates with other agencies, hospitals, infectious disease physicians, and the community; and coordinates activities with other State, Federal, and local agencies for response.
