Job Training and Job Placement

::   Wayne County's Education & Job Training Division coordinates job training and placement services for residents and businesses in 26 Wayne County communities. The department will identify and coordinate training for qualified people who meet a company's skill requirement. The County is coordinating a program to provide education and job training development activities for the labor demand being generated by new development projects.

::  Wayne County works with business and industry to meet the workforce and personnel needs of the private sector. Many services are provided at no cost to residents or businesses. Wayne County coordinates job training and placement services for all
Wayne County residents.

::  Working with an individual business, Wayne County will identify and coordinate training for qualified people who meet a company's skill requirements. Our experts interview hundreds of people and assess their job skills and refer the best candidates to the company for their consideration. A company has the option to select or reject any candidate, and is under no obligation to hire anyone at any time.

::   Wayne County is presently engaged in coordinating "21st Century" education and job training development activities for the labor demand being generated by the Tigers and Lions stadiums, Metro Airport and Detroit's casinos.
