::  The Michigan Department of Career Development, Annual Planning Information Report forecasts the regional occupational outlook for a ten-year period, 1998-2008. The forecast identifies growing and declining occupations and projects job opening within the various fields. The report identifies the ten occupations expected to achieve the most growth over the period, as shown in Table 9. The list includes some occupations that require a minimum of a bachelor’s degree such as system analysts and computer engineers, although a majority of the occupations, concentrated in the service industry, require little more than a high school degree.
