Detroit -Wayne County CMH Agency partners with NAMI and Oakwood Healthcare for mental health workshops in Taylor starting February 22nd

TAYLOR, MI -- Wayne County residents who want to better understand mental illness and learn about local services, programs and support groups for themselves or loved ones can attend a free 10-week workshop that begins Thursday, February 22nd and runs through April.

The classes are being sponsored by NAMI: the Wayne County NAMI Coalition in partnership with the Detroit-Wayne County Community Mental Health Agency and Oakwood Healthcare System Foundation.

The classes will be held each Thursday at 7 p.m. through April 26 at Oakwood Heritage Hospital, located at 10000 Telegraph Road in Taylor. Each class features a different topic, such as signs and symptoms, stress, recovery, medications, and case management.
