Registered Nurse 1's give professional nursing care and treatment in County institutions or clinics. Registered Nurses may give physical examinations, distribute medications, administer TB screenings, consult with appropriate medical professionals, make referrals, respond to emergencies, make rounds and perform related institutional nursing duties. General assignments are received from Registered Nurses of higher rank and members of the medical staff may give specific instructions. Registered Nurses may supervise the work of Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, or other auxiliary nursing service personnel.
