Crosswinds Marsh Interpretive Center

Scout Badge Programs

Crosswinds Marsh offers workshops with activities designed to meet badge requirements for the Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Girl Scouts. Workshops are available for the badges listed below and usually last two hours (Cadettes and Junior Girl Scouts “Finding Your Way” are three hours). Badges are not provided by Wayne County Parks, but are available at your local scout council office. Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Brownie Try It and Junior Girl Scout badges are $3.00 per scout. Cadette Scout badges are $4.00 per scout. There is no charge for adults or leaders. Scout programs are offered April-October on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-6:30 pm and at least one Saturday a month. Any of the badges listed can also be scheduled for June-August at the request of the scout leader.

scouting USARegistration for all Scout Badges begins Tuesday, March 3, 2009. PRE-REGISTRATION AND PREPAYMENT IS REQUIRED. YOU WILL NOT BE REGISTERED FOR A WORKSHOP UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. Only cash or checks are accepted. Please make checks payable to “Wayne County Parks”. Once payment is received, no refunds are given unless Crosswinds cancels the program. Group size is limited to 30 scouts per badge and registration is first come, first served. Any badge with less than 10 pre-registered participants will be cancelled and fees returned. Call (734) 654-1220 to register for a program or for more information. All programs are conducted outdoors under an open-air pavilion, please dress appropriately.

Requires five, two-hour workshops to complete all requirements. The five workshops will be completed over two Saturdays. The fee is $15.00 per scout for all five workshops.
