DentalAssist

DentalAssist provides limited dental care and services for the indigent population, with only a $4 co-pay.

Like health care under MedBasic, you are assigned a provider authorized by Wayne County. The agency will give you a list of dentists participating in the DentalAssist program.

• Covered services - Relief of pain and infection is available, along with an annual cleaning and repair of dentures.

 
• Advanced services - Dentures, fillings, extractions and oral surgery procedures are included with authorization and proof of medical necessity.

 
• Local Anesthesia - This is covered for certain procedures. Twilight or general anesthesia are not covered.
