Campground Sanitation Inspection and licensing program to
ensure that campgrounds are maintained in a safe and sanitary manner. Concerns regarding

Child Care and Adult Foster Care Inspection program to ensure sanitary conditions
at child care and adult care facilities, conducted in cooperation with the Michigan
Family Independence Agency. These facilities are required by law to be licensed.

Food Establishment Plan Review Every food service
establishment plan must be reviewed to ensure that the structural, plumbing, ventilation
and other construction guidelines are properly met prior to operation. A Plan Review
Package outlining the steps required for operation can be obtained from the Food
Service Plan Review unit of the Environmental Health Division by calling: 734-727-7400.
Food Manager Certification is currently required
in each "fixed" food location. The class focus is to educate an employee
on how to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation. As a convenience
for food service operators a Class is offered through the Environmental Health Division.

Food Service Monitoring Inspection and licensing
program to ensure food service establishments maintain and follow safe food handling
practices. Food establishments [fixed, temporary, mobile and vending machines] are
required by law to be licensed. Concerns regarding the sanitation or food service

On-site Sewage Disposal Permit is required for the installation or repair
of on-site sewage disposal [septic] systems within Wayne County. An individual must
apply for a permit prior to the installation of the system. Applications are available
through the Wayne County Environmental Health Division by contacting:

On-site Sewage Disposal [Septic] and Well Evaluation Inspection and evaluation
of private/home wells and septic systems are required before selling a home. For

Public Swimming Pool Sanitation Inspection and licensing program to ensure
public swimming pools are maintained in safe and sanitary condition. Public swimming
pools are required by law to be licensed. Concerns regarding the sanitation of a
particular public pool can be reported by calling:

Food Vending Machines must be licensed just as any other food location in
