We face a future that has been forever changed. We face unprecedented uncertainty.
We face a severe financial crisis. But we will
endure with the direction provided by County Executive Robert Ficano, the dedication
provided by our employees, and the support of our citizens. Wayne County will continue
to provide the highest level of services possible and protect the quality of life
so cherished by our community. We will continue to do all we can to protect the
financial health of this great organization.
Providing the highest level of services and balance amidst an environment of diminishing
resources is clearly a challenge. However, we do see positive signs as new investment
and building increases and people talk about the future of Wayne County in a positive light.
All members of the Department uphold the highest industry standards in all functions
from budget, financial reporting, debt and cash management, financial planning,
purchasing, risk management, assessments and equalization, grants and contract management,
accounts payable and accounts receivable.
