Trial Division

The Trial Division prosecutes all felony cases in the Third Circuit Court except for Felony Non Support cases.

Trial Division Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys prosecute:

• Almost 20% of all felony cases in Michigan.
• Almost 30% of all Michigan jury trials where the maximum penalty is life
• More than 25% of other Michigan jury trials.
• More than 35% of Michigan bench trials.

The Trial Division Units prosecute a wide variety of crimes ranging from simple larceny to First Degree Murder. The Units are:
