Golf Fundraiser to Aid Sheriff’s Youth & Senior Fund
Members of the public have an opportunity to enjoy a tax-deductible round of golf and support programs that provide safety training to Wayne County’s children and senior citizens. On Friday, September 18 th, Wayne County Sheriff Warren C. Evans will hold his Third Annual fundraiser golf outing for his Youth & Senior Education Fund at Inkster Valley Golf Course.
The fund generates resources that help sheriff’s deputies provide training and education to those in our community who are most vulnerable, namely children and senior citizens. Senior programs supported by the fund include emergency preparedness training, identity theft prevention, how to avoid financial scams and several others. Youth education programs include Internet safety, how to deal with bullying, stranger danger, drug awareness and more.
Tickets for the golf outing are $250 per player. The scramble-style event will include lunch, a steak dinner (or vegetarian option), an auction and door prizes.
