News --- Former Michigan State Police Director to Join Wayne County’s Department of Children & Family Services

Detroit – Wayne County Executive, Robert A. Ficano has announce that Colonel Tadarial J. Sturdivant will join his administration in the department of Children & Family Services. Sturdivant comes to Wayne County from the Michigan State Police where he was appointed by Governor Jennifer M. Granholm in 2003 to serve in a cabinet-level position as the Director. As the Director of the Michigan State Police, Colonel Sturdivant also served as the State Director of Emergency Management and as Michigan’s Homeland Security Director. Prior to joining Wayne County, Colonel Sturdivant served for 28 years in law enforcement.
