Join us on September 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the HYPE Center at 4635 Howe Road in Wayne or on September 27, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Elizabeth Park Chateau at 4250 Elizabeth Park Drive. This second series of workshops will present draft findings and recommendations for the strategic master plan.


Wayne County Parks Strategic Master Plan

Wayne County Parks is currently undergoing a Strategic Master Plan process for the park system. We will be posting updates on this website and social media to keep you informed of the process.

What is a Strategic Master Plan?

The Strategic Master Plan will provide a vision and implementation strategy to strengthen the Wayne County Park system. It will also serve to

better meet the needs of the community, and ensure the long-term sustainability and prosperity of the system.

Key components of the Strategic Master Plan:

Park System Plan

 A long-range regional vision for the enhancement and connectivity of the park system to the community.

Business & Sustainability Plan

Recommendations and strategies for improving the operations, economic performance, and administration of the park system.

5-Year Recreational Master Plan

Required update to meet the State of Michigan requirements and eligibility for grant funding and other assistance.
