Wayne County holds flu clinics each December.
Nationwide delays in the delivery of vaccine this year have made it difficult
for some adults to find a shot. Public Health Director Anahid
Kulwicki said that state health officials were able to locate more doses and
made them available to local health departments and private doctors.
Wayne County has already administered nearly 1,000 doses to high-risk
residents.
The typical flu season runs November to April, and the flu shot can be given
through the end of December. For more information, call the Wayne County
Department of Public Health at 734-727-7000.
