News --- Wayne County Head Start enrollment is open now for 3- to 5-year-olds

Wayne County is now enrolling 3- to 5-year-olds from income-eligible families and children with certified or suspected disabilities in the Head Start program.

Studies show that Head Start has a positive, lifelong impact on children.
Wayne County Head Start programs are located all around the county, excluding Detroit, which operates its own program.

Children participate in educational activities and receive medical, dental and nutritional services at no cost. Included are special recreational events, family literacy activities, and opportunities for volunteering and meaningful father/male involvement. For general information, call (866) 534-5437.
