Assistant Wayne County Special Assignment Prosecutor Paul Bruno, a Detroit native, is a 1974 graduate of Wayne State University Law School. He was appointed as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney by Wayne County Prosecutor William L. Cahalan in 1976.

His prosecutorial experience includes the Trial Unit, the Appeals Section, the Child Abuse Unit, the Prosecutor’s Repeat Offender’s Bureau, the Screening and District Court Division, the Community Outreach Section, the Legislative Affairs Unit, the Freedom of Information Section and the Victim Services Unit.
