Biography - Nancy J. Diehl
Chief of Trials

Nancy J. Diehl has worked as a prosecutor for 25 years and currently heads the Felony Trial Division in the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office overseeing general trials, child and family abuse, homicide, auto theft, and major drugs. Ms. Diehl is a sought after speaker and trainer nationally on domestic violence and child abuse investigation, prosecution and related matters. She is the coauthor of four booklets pertaining to children and the legal system: IT IS GOOD TO TELL THE TRUTH, KIDS GO TO COURT, KIDS AND SECRETS and SOMETIMES IT IS SAD TO BE AT HOME, WHAT IS A KID TO DO ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE? Ms. Diehl serves on the executive committee of the Governor’s Task Force on Children’s Justice, is a member of the Judicial Tenure Commission, chairs the Wayne County Council Against Family Violence, and is past president of the State Bar of Michigan. Ms. Diehl has a B.A. from Western Michigan University and a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School.
