The Courts
Division is responsible for maintaining order in the court rooms
of the 3rd Circuit Court and Wayne County Probate
Court. This division has court transfer responsibilities,
which involves taking prisoners from the Jail Divisions to the
courts.
The Courts Division also includes:
Friend of the Court Enforcement Unit
The Friend of the Court Enforcement
Unit seeks out individuals who have become delinquent in their
child support payments. This unit serves Friend of the Court warrants
for non-support.
Civil Process Unit
This unit serves notices of suit
on civil cases, foreclosure notices, subpoenas, divorce papers,
tax sales notices and evictions.
Felony Warrants
The Felony warrant section tracks
down fugitives and serves arrest warrants from the 3rd
Circuit Court. This section also assists out-of-state agencies
in serving felony warrants.
