 On 11/08/02, in the city of Detroit, the 11-year old complainant was at home with his siblings, ages 9 and 10. The complainant reported that Ms. Thompkins held him down while a second person (no longer wanted) held the hot metal of a lit cigarette lighter to his stomach and chest. The lighter caused small burns to his stomach and chest. The 9-year old sibling reported that the above subject burned his arm with the lighter on the same day. The 10-year old sibling reported that he was held down by the second person while Thompkins burned him on the stomach in the same manner. The reported injuries were observed by McNair Middle School personnel on 11/13/02, at which time the police were notified. A warrant was entered for the above subject on 06/14/05 for the Probation Violation.

  On 01/30/02, in the city of Inkster, police were dispatched to the Detroit Academy School. The response was in reference to some children not wanting to return home. The children stated that they were afraid of their stepfather, Hubert Clark, because he beats them with an extension cord. They further reported that the beatings had been going on for about 3 to 4 years, but only when they were bad. The responding officers observed welts, scars and fresh wounds on the backs and shoulders of the complainants. The complainants stated that the last beating took place because they brought home bad report cards. They reported that the defendant had them get undressed and he gave them “seven to nine hits each”.

Weaver admitted that he sent the photograph over the internet to someone he met in a chat room. Evidence gathered included 4 explicit photographs of the child. Weaver was convicted and sentenced to probation, but has violated his probation and has not been located.

The defendant put his hand in the complainant’s underwear and fondled her vagina. The complainant further stated that the defendant hit her on the butt in front of her mother.

 On 04/14/06, in the city of Detroit, the police were dispatched to a complaint that a man was assaulting a 7-month old baby. A witness stated that the Beal was sitting on the couch talking on the phone while holding the baby. The defendant became upset with the person he was talking to on the phone and slapped the baby twice in the face with an open hand. The baby fell to the floor, unconscious. The baby was observed to have bruising and swelling to the left side of his face. Witnesses conveyed the baby to Sinai-Grace Hospital for medical treatment.
