Donn Fresard
Chief of Staff
Graduating from Western Michigan University with honors in 1981, and from Detroit College of Law in 1984, Mr. Fresard was in private practice from 1984 until he was appointed Acting Chief Assistant and Chief of Staff by Kym Worthy when she took office in January 2004.
While in private practice, he concentrated in the areas of criminal defense, civil litigation, and economic development, serving on City of St. Clair Shores Tax Increment Finance Authority as member and Vice Chairman from 1991 until 2000, then as general counsel until his appointment.
Appointed by the Governor to the Board of Real Estate Appraisers in 2005, Mr. Fresard also developed the Deed Fraud Unit with the collaboration of the Register of Deeds and the Sheriff to combat the growing problem of real property theft in Wayne County.
