Food Safety Classes

Food Manager Certification

Wayne County requires a Certified Food Manager at each fixed food location. The Certified Food Manager is a liaison between food service employees and the Health Department and is responsible for educating the staff about disease prevention, cleanliness and sanitation. The Environmental Health Division offers a manager training course to interested food service managers.

CERTIFIED FOOD MANAGERS CLASSES

Sorry for the inconvenience but the Environmental Health Section currently does not offer Food safety classes, we do plan to offer classes again in the future. Michigan State University Extension Services offers ServSafe classes in Taylor and Livonia. For more information on the Certified Food Manager Class, see the Certified Food Manager resources below:
