Wayne County Commissioners Irma Clark-Coleman, Monique Baker McCormick receive appointments

Wayne County Commissioner Irma Clark-Coleman has been appointed to the Wayne County Land Bank Corporation Board of Directors and Commissioner Monique Baker McCormick has been appointed to the Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority.

The appointments were announced by commission Chair Alisha Bell and unanimously confirmed by the commission.

Commissioner Clark-Coleman (D-Detroit) represents the 5th District, including neighborhoods in north central Detroit. Commissioner Baker McCormick represents the 6th District, which includes neighborhoods in northwest Detroit.

The Wayne County Land Bank has a stated mission of returning tax-foreclosed and abandoned properties to productive use, contributing tax revenue to Wayne County and promoting community rehabilitation across county municipalities.

The Detroit/Wayne County Port Authority is a government agency that works to promote regional prosperity by advancing the interest of the Port of Detroit.
