Detroit Man Charged in Death of Girlfriend on Grandville Street
Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged Isaiah Marcus Wilder, 18 (DOB: 12/03/2001), of Detroit, in connection with the fatal stabbing of his 17-year-old girlfriend, who was also of Detroit. On January 16, 2020 at 1:28 p.m., Detroit police officers were dispatched to a home in the 15070 block of Grandville. When they arrived, they found the lifeless body of the 17-year-old female victim in the basement. She was pronounced deceased at the scene. It was determined that she died from multiple stab wounds. It is alleged that Wilder fatally stabbed his girlfriend. Wilder was arrested by the police on the same day.
Wilder has been charged with First Degree Murder.* He was arraigned on Sunday, January 19, 2020 before Judge Linda Mack in 34th District Court in Romulus. The Probable Cause Conference is scheduled for January 30, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.; the Preliminary Examination is scheduled for February 6, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Both hearings are before Judge Lynise Bryant in 36th District Court. The defendant was remanded to jail.
