Tax Foreclosure

By authority of Public Act 206 of 1893; MCL 211.78m, tax foreclosure is the result of a three-year process by which a governmental unit takes ownership of the property because the property owner is not making their tax payments. The process is designed so that the government can ensure that taxes are being collected.
