Description
Social worker provides short-term intervention with distressed client to de-escalate and provide support to prevent future damage or deterioration.

How it's used
For clients experiencing acute distress related to an unfavorable decision in court or other overwhelming event in their life (e.g. loss of child custody, passing of a loved one, divorce, violence, discovery of a serious illness).

Note
This service is only available for clients with whom the DSU has an existing relationship.
