Wayne County Parks
Dear Residents,
Nothing quite compares to a day in the park. As County Executive, a father of two, an avid jogger and a listener of jazz, I have collected many memorable times in our parks.
Whether you like to fish, bike, golf, cross-country ski, enjoy live music, have a family picnic or just relax beneath a shady tree, there’s something for everyone at one of our Wayne County parks.
And no matter the time of year, our parks are always available for your enjoyment. There’s never an entry fee. Wayne County Parks plans several special events throughout the year that are free or have a minimal charge.
We continue to offer our great annual family-favorites like the Marshmallow Drop, Mud Day and Jazz on the River, we also continue to improve and expand our services and programming. 2013 brings exciting happenings to Wayne County Parks:
• Wayne County First Responders Half Marathon and 5K in Hines Park
• 20th Anniversary of the Wayne County Lightfest
• New Country Fest at Elizabeth Park in Trenton
Our parks are among the County’s greatest assets. Our professional staff is dedicated and passionate about its mission to provide great events and recreational programs to all Wayne County residents and visitors.
