Description
Social worker attends court in person or virtually to provide supportive presence for the client.

How it's used
To assist attorneys in helping client understand the court process.
When mitigation reports are submitted at sentencing, the social worker may attend in case there are questions about the report.
Other situations where the social worker's presence in court could help achieve positive outcomes on a case.

Note
This service is only available for clients with whom the DSU has an existing relationship.
