Healthy Communities


Wayne County was awarded a grant in June 2012 from the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) to establish a federally-qualified health center in the City of Hamtramck.

The center celebrated its grand opening/ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013. The family health clinic provides primary health care services, in addition to other related health and social services that are currently offered through the Department of Health and Human Services

  WCHC Clinic is dedicated to providing quality, accessible and affordable primary health care and support services. Our goal is to provide high quality and affordable medical, dental and mental health care as well as promote health awareness/education. 

WCHC Clinic range of services and programs are broad. Our dedicated team of board-certified physicians, pediatricians, dentists, and other medical/general staff wants to provide a health care home for you! Our services include:

  • Primary Care
  • Pediatric Medicine
  • Adult Medicine
  • Prenatal Care
  • Pediatric Dentistry
  • Behavioral Health
  • WIC Services

The “Healthy Communities” Hamtramck Health Center is located at 11447 Joseph Campau,  in Hamtramck.
It welcomes new patients and accepts walk-ins, both insured and uninsured. This is the only health center in Hamtramck that serves residents regardless of their insurance or ability to pay.

Hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and Wednesday from 11 a.m. -7:30 p.m.
