VACCINE AND BOOSTER ELIGIBILTY

All Michigan residents aged 12 and older are now eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine. All residents aged 18 and older are also eligible to receive either the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines as well as Pfizer.

Residents can schedule appointments through their hospital group, other vaccine providers, or through the Wayne County Health Department. To make an appointment at a Wayne County community clinic or to request an at-home vaccination for home-bound residents, please call 1-866-610-3885. Transportation assistance is also available.

The Wayne County Health Department is now administering Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine booster shots to immunocompromised residents, residents over the age of 65, and residents of nursing homes.

Boosters are available at no cost to eligible residents at all Wayne County-sponsored vaccine sites. Individuals seeking a booster should wait at least 28 days after receiving their second vaccine dose before obtaining a third shot. Boosters for the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine are not approved at this time.

Eligible residents can receive a booster at any Wayne County vaccine clinic by walking in or making an appointment. Call 1-866-610-3885 to make an appointment.
