How to enroll into a payment plan online

Getting into a payment plan is quick and easy. It can be done online. The Wayne County Treasurer's Office offers several payment plans to assist distressed taxpayers with paying delinquent taxes.

These plans are explained on the Treasurer's Office website on the payment plans page. By following the steps outlined below you can find which plan may work best for you - and then use it. Here's how:

Step 1: Go to the Wayne County Treasurer's Office website: Treasurer.waynecounty.com

Step 2: From the home page, select "Payment Plans" from the menu bar. A drop-down menu will appear. Select "Payment Plans" from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Scroll down to the blue box that reads, "Click here and see if you are eligible and to apply."

Step 4: This will open up a new menu welcoming you to our property tax system. Click "Continue." Enter the address of the property or select the parcel ID tab to enter the parcel ID. Then click "search."

Step 5: The property tax bill will show on the screen, as well as the status of the property taxes for each year. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. There are options to "Pay now," "Make Partial Payments" or "Request Tax Receipt." Below those options will be a grey box that lists the available payment plans for that property and a description of the payment plan. The site will only list the payment plans available for that specific property. To enter into the payment plan, click on the purple box denoting the payment plan.

Step 6: A window will pop up with the tax information and owner information. Fill out the requested information on the screen. All fields are required. Once complete, press "Proceed w/Payment."

Step 7: When you click the "Proceed w/Payment" button, you will be transferred to a DocuSign portal to complete the E-Signature. Once that is completed you will be redirected to Chase Payment Portal and can make the required payment from your bank account or credit card. If you have any difficulty or choose to pay through a different method, you may make the required payment at a nearby DivDat kiosk which also accepts cash payments, or by using the Wayne County Mobile app. The Wayne County Mobile app can be downloaded through Apple or Google Play and selecting "Pay Property Taxes." You will receive an email from "ERIC R. SABREE Wayne County Treasurer via DocuSign," which allows you to print or download the completed payment plan, and to complete your ESignature if you did not complete it at the time of enrollment.

Once you have made your final payment and signed the document in DocuSign, the process is complete. You have successfully enrolled into a payment plan!
