Wayne County Lightfest
The Wayne County Lightfest is magical four-mile stretch of Hines Park, displaying nearly 50 animated themed displays and more than 100,000 lights from around Thanksgiving until the end of the year (closed December 25). Check out how you and your family can experience the Wayne County Lightfest!
The entrance to the Lightfest is 7651 N. Merriman Road, which is on Merriman between Ann Arbor Trail and Warren Avenue in Westland, 2 1/2 miles south of I-96.
Drive Thru the Lights
Stay warm in your car and take a 20-30 minutes to drive through the beautiful lighted displays. Make it an annual family tradition to come every year and see the new displays that have been added.
The fee for the Lightfest is $5.00 cash per vehicle. Masks will be required at the Toll Booth.
Toy Night Tuesdays - Cancelled for 2020
On Toy Night Tuesdays, visitors can donate a new unwrapped toy in lieu of paying the entrance fee.

Opening Celebration - Cancelled for 2020
A winter Celebration for everyone. Come and visit the Wayne County Lightfest Opening Ceremonies with musical entertainment, a fireworks show, and visit from Santa. The ceremony concludes with turning on the switch to kick off the traditional first drive of the Lightfest.
8K Fun Run/Walk Thru the Lights - Cancelled for 2020
Are you ready to get a bit of fresh air? Challenge your friends to a fun run or walk through the lights. We close down Hines Drive and open it up for you. Watch for early registration perks like hats and fun finisher medals as these are normally limited.
START AREA: Merriman Hollow Park, Westland located on Hines Drive off Merriman Road between Ann Arbor Trail and Warren Avenue.
FINISH LINE: Warrendale Park, Dearborn Heights located on Warren Avenue, east of Telegraph. Please note that there is minimal parking at Warrendale Park.
16K Bike Thru the Lights - Cancelled for 2020Participate in your own light parade! Decorate your bike and ride through the lights with us. There's even a PRIZE for the most decorated bike!
- All bike riders must be able to bike to the Warrendale picnic area and back (16K).
- All bikes must have a light, due to the two-way traffic
- All participants must wear a helmet
Santa's Workshop - Cancelled for 2020
Straight from the North Pole, Santa is ready to listen to wishes and take pictures. Too shy to talk to Santa in person? You can drop off a letter in the giant mailbox for Santa to read when he gets back home. Refreshments are also available for purchase.
