Visitation Information

All parents and guardians are encouraged to visit their son/daughter. The Wayne County Juvenile Detention Facility is open for official business during the hours of 7:00 A. M. to 7:00 P.M. Visiting hours are on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Visitation on holidays will follow the Saturday visitation schedule.
PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS may visit during visiting hours and must present proper identification at each visit. Legal guardians must show proof of guardianship prior to the first visit. Stepparents wishing to visit must provide a marriage license. Stepparents with a last name or address other than that of spouse must provide documentation and be cleared by the Executive Director, Deputy Director, or Department Manager of Social Work. Approval for visitation by anyone other than parents or guardians must be requested 24 hours in advance through the child's social worker. Special visits are not automatically granted. Times for requesting special visits are Monday through Friday 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. ONLY. No special visits will be approved for weekends or holidays.
